A recent ranking report conducted by U.S. News & World Report puts the 2010 Fusion Hybrid at number one over 22 other cars in the “affordable midsize car” category.
The Fusion Hybrid was ranked 9.3 overall for performance, exterior, interior, safety and reliability. U.S. News & World Report’s ranking was based on test drives and eleven published reviews as well as their own analysis of safety and reliability data.
Automotive reviewers were surprised by the superb quality of the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid, which is giving the Toyota Prius some very stiff competition. There are some that believe who the Fusion Hybrid is simply a better vehicle.
The Ford Fusion is not a newcomer and was not even revamped completely for the 2010 model year; however, Ford’s changes to the car have the auto press looking at it like it’s a brand new offering.
The most noted improvement, of course, is that it comes in a hybrid model. Everything about the Hybrid is of high quality, and it’s equipped with technology that is helping it pull ahead of the competition. Driving the Fusion Hybrid is reportedly a far better and more “engaging” experience than driving any other hybrid vehicle to date.
Motor Trend says of the Fusion Hybrid, “Hear that, Capitol Hill? Detroit is building the trend-setting, high-mileage, high-quality cars you claim they can’t build.” In a 2008 J.D. Power and Associates Initial Quality Study, the Fusion beat both the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord.
The huge boost that the Fusion Hybrid represents could not have come at a better time for Ford Motor Company, which is staying true to its commitment to revamp its models and wow buyers back into the showrooms with new technology, great values and top quality. Ford is the only one of the Big Three to turn down federal TARP money, and recent sales reports show Ford’s numbers edging upward.
Buyers looking for an excellent buy on a midsize sedan should consider test driving the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid. It outperforms the Camry Hybrid and Nissan Altima Hybrid in fuel economy, making it a great vehicle for those looking for an eco-friendly vehicle. Those looking for luxury and the latest technology will be pleased with the well designed, high-tech interior of the Fusion Hybrid.
Automobile Magazine calls the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid “the best mid-sized hybrid you can buy.”
