Hybrids Take Center Stage December 29, 2008
Posted by everycarlisted in : Automotive Advertising, General Information, buy a car, buying a car , 1 comment so farWhat are our domestic auto manufacturers doing about energy these days? A lot!
Ford Motor Company announced recently that the Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan hybrid models will be 41 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. Wow! 41 mpg in the city means our urban areas can see huge benefits. And get this, the Fusion and the Milan can go up to 47 mph on all electric power. This makes them extremely useful in those short trips down the street to the grocery store or around the block to the neighbor’s house. Here is the real kicker; the base price on the Fusion hybrid is expected to be $27,270 not including destination charges.
Chevrolet also has the Tahoe and Suburban hybrids for those of you who can’t turn loose of all that room and utility. You can find all of these vehicles online when you are ready to buy at www.everycarlisted.com. If you’d like to see just hybrid vehicles check out this link: http://www.everycarlisted.com/searchresults.php?zip=10027&radius=1000&search=+PABE&page=1
Nissan Maxima Offers Four Door Sports Car For 2009 December 26, 2008
Posted by everycarlisted in : General Information, buying a car , 1 comment so farI was in a dealership recently and noticed the new 2009 Nissan Maxima. The Maxima has long been a favorite of mine and the new body style is no exception. Nissan calls it the four door sports car and the vehicle lives up to it. The new body style looks wide and thick. It has the same 3.5 liter VQ engine that has been on Ward’s 10 Best Engines list for 14 years in a row. Right off the showroom floor it has 290 hp.
If you love the combination of luxury, performance and affordable price, this is a great car and a great value.
We have some great reviews on our site at www.everycarlisted.com. This is the link to review the new Maxima: http://www.everycarlisted.com/review.php?id=6 . We also have a video review available on our YouTube channel at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtqCuV_fGsg&feature=channel_page .
If your budget this year has been scaled back by the economy, we also have hundreds of 2005 to 2008 Maximas for you to choose from that are for sale from dealers and individuals across the country. Here is a link to the review on our site of the 2007 (we have past year models reviewed as well as current): http://www.everycarlisted.com/review.php?id=301.
Here is a link that will take you to many of the pre-owned ones for sale right now: http://www.everycarlisted.com/searchresults.php?zip=48201&radius=1000&search=+AABQ++BAZG+CAAB+CAAD+CAAC+EAAD+EAAC+EAAB+EAAA&page=1
Five Things I Can Do to Stimulate the Economy December 26, 2008
Posted by everycarlisted in : For Dealers, For Sale By Owner, General Information , add a commentWhat a wonderful time of year! Wouldn’t you agree? It is wonderful even as we draw near to the end of a year that our children and our children’s children will study in their economics classes. So what can we do to turn this giant American economic ship around? Here are five things that can make a difference right now:
- Change your attitude. You’ve heard your whole life that attitude is everything and frankly it is. We can change the economy first and perhaps most dramatically by changing our attitudes. Positive thoughts and encouragement can make a huge difference. The sooner we move out of this “fear” that has gripped many of us the last few months and on to the great opportunity in front of us the better. Christmas is a great time to start and we can carry our momentum into 2009. Warren Buffet once said, “We simply attempt to be fearful when others are greedy and to be greedy only when others are fearful. “ The sooner the glass looks half full to you, the sooner it will be full!
- Start now. There has never been a better time to get a great deal on just about anything. Probably the greatest opportunity is on a new automobile for the family. Auto dealers all over the country are moving into the part of the year (the last week of December) that is traditionally one of the best weeks of the year for them. They are aching to make you a deal on a new or pre-owned vehicle. Take advantage of their need to sell!
- Start at home. When you go make a large purchase like an automobile, spending those dollars at home makes a huge difference to your local economy. Auto dealers provide hundreds of local jobs in everything from advertising to windshield repair. The money you spend locally on a vehicle will go straight back into the community. Auto dealers are also very charitable and traditionally give generously to local charities.
- Pay it forward. This was the title of a recent movie and it’s a great lesson for us all. This holiday season, if you are fortunate enough to have your needs met, get out and do something for those in the community who can’t do for themselves. Start a tradition this year of adopting a family in need and buying a Christmas gift for them.
- Be thankful. We may be in valley right now, but this is America…the land of the free and the home of the brave! There is no place on earth like our place. For many, this time is the opportunity that we’ve waited for our whole life. Grab it…don’t fear it! Thank God we are here now and in a country that has a free market system that allows us the opportunity to succeed.
Moving into the upcoming new year at www.EveryCarListed.com, we have a lot of new and exciting things going on. Please check back frequently as we will be making some announcements early in 2009 that will give you, the car shopping consumer, more inventory and more options when shopping for your next vehicle. Remember, as always you can sell your car for free on our site year round: http://www.everycarlisted.com/sellingcars.php.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
It’s a Car Buyer’s Market this Holiday Season! December 22, 2008
Posted by everycarlisted in : Automotive Advertising, For Dealers, For Sale By Owner, General Information , add a commentAre you in the market to buy a car this holiday season? Lots of folks are! December traditionally is the best month of the year to make a deal on a new or pre-owned vehicle. The manufacturers roll out the red carpet with incentives and dealers are very motivated to move their pre-owned inventory before the end of the year. Now add the most recent Federal Reserve rate cut and depressed demand in the auto industry the last few months; and car buyers have a perfect storm of opportunity.
I can safely say that in my lifetime I’ve never seen a better opportunity to get a great price and some great financing terms on a vehicle. I know you’ve heard that getting a car loan is more difficult post credit crisis. This is true for some banks but many, like US Bank and Compass Bank who’ve been proactively managing their business in a highly conservative fashion for years, the loan rates are at or near historic lows. You can get a great rate for short to medium term loans like 48 and 60 months. When you are shopping keep in mind that the loan rates for terms over 60 months are not as competitive as the ones that are 60 months and below.
How can you take advantage of all this? Jump on www.everycarlisted.com and find the car, truck, or SUV of your dreams (or your significant other’s dreams). Call or email the dealer that has your next vehicle and MAKE A DEAL!! Believe me they are willing to deal like never before. Make it a VERY Merry Christmas at your house!!!

Trends in the Online Automotive Market Offer Yellow Pages Growth Opportunities December 15, 2008
Posted by everycarlisted in : Automotive Advertising, For Dealers, General Information, What's New , add a commentThese automotive portals deploy rigorous “all or nothing” search criteria. In other words, all search criteria must be met or little to no search results are returned. Unfortunately, this often means that:
> local dealers with comparable autos for sale are never seen
> local car buyers are herded out of their local markets
> local dealers and buyers become more disengaged, resulting in a more disconnected local economy.
Survival in this virtual age has seen dealers slashing local ad dollars in favor of broader online exposure. Globalization of the once local auto market has increased the dealer’s reach, but has also served to thin this reach by equal proportion.
While dealers must keep wide-based traction online, they desperately need to regain dominance at home. Similarly, car buyers report preferring to purchase closer to home, but have grown accustomed to searching online, using sites that rarely return local results.
Thankfully buyers and sellers in this ever-shrinking world are now demanding more localized searches and exposure. Entities offering advertising services that best mirror this trend with online enhancements true to their character will win the day. There could be no better fit with the right automotive portal for localized search than the Yellow Pages.
The Yellow Pages Association reports its “Automobile Dealers” heading is the sixth most used category in the book. Unfortunately, the revenue ranking for this same heading sits far in the opposite direction. Lending credence to this disparity are the recent estimates by the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) that only one percent of automotive dealer advertising budgets are spent in favor of the Yellow Pages. In sharp contrast to today’s newspaper industry with circulations, readership, and subsequent ad value in drastic decline, practically every household continues to keep and use the Yellow Pages from one year to the next. These factors are proof positive that while the Yellow Pages remains a resource standard for the common household, most dealerships underestimate the advertising strength and stability of the book.
A robust and interactive automotive portal like www.EveryCarListed.com in conjunction with the Yellow Pages, and promoted throughout millions of its printed books is giving car dealers a renewed appreciation and perspective for this time-honored advertising resource. This sets the stage for the reuniting of local car dealers and buyers, as well as reigniting the Yellow Pages with an influx of advertising car dealers in both print and online.
This is a giant step in the right direction at a time when needed the most.
Bad News For The Auto Industry Is Good News For Car Buyers – EveryCarListed.Com Is Good News For Both! December 4, 2008
Posted by everycarlisted in : Automotive Advertising, For Dealers, For Sale By Owner, Uncategorized, buy a car, buying a car, everycarlisted.com, sell a car, selling a car , add a commentAfter surviving thirty years in the auto industry as an auto dealer, automotive advertising agency and more recently as the President of AdAgencyOnline.Net - a free automotive advertising resource portal – I can honestly say that I have seen everything and today’s tough economic times are no exception! I started selling cars in 1975 in the middle of that decade’s gas crisis and the premature announcement of the ”death of the american auto industry” was as widely exaggerated then as it is now.
Frankly, if free inventory websites selling Automobiles Cars Trucks etc. – like EveryCarListed.Com – existed then it would have put the auto industry and the economy back on track much sooner. Every Car Listed allows consumers who are looking for used cars, or who have their own used cars for sale, to advertise their Pre-Owned Cars for free to a national audience of like minded consumers who are selling a car and most likely buying cars themselves.
Auto dealers are also now able to sell cars online for free while connecting with buyers and sellers before, during and after the sale with sites like EveryCarListed. This online process of selling cars, and even arranging auto financing through posted vendors, is a modern day marvel that has been developed as a result of the struggles that the auto industry is now facing and it promises to help us turn this corner faster than the last time around.
Selling Sports Cars, Certified Pre-Owned Cars, Auto Warranty programs and basically everything that a consumer needs on one website with virtually every manufacturer and every model available while featuring Certified Cars alongside private “as-is” vehicles provides consumers competitive comparisons in product and price that they need to get the best possible deal. Of course a Certified Used Car can only be purchased from an auto dealer but since both private sellers and auto dealers are able to compete on an even playing field the value for each can be determined by the price.
I am the first to recognize that the auto industry is in bad shape for a number of reasons, some that they could have controlled and some that they couldn’t, but the good news is that auto dealers are doing whatever it takes to sell cars and the smart shopper can get deals today that they couldn’t get yesterday and may not be able to get tomorrow!
The point is – bad news for the auto industry is good news for consumers – BUT, EveryCarListed.Com is good news for both! Their free automotive advertising site has come at just the right time to put all of the pieces of the puzzle back together and help struggling auto dealers and consumers come to the best deals for both.

Applying For a Car Loan in a Tight Credit Market December 3, 2008
Posted by everycarlisted in : Uncategorized, buying a car , add a commentThe credit markets are tight these days and whether we realize it or not this affects all of us. What is noteworthy is that by following some very simple steps you can greatly enhance your chances of being approved for a loan. Here are the six things that matter most.
1. Complete personal information is key when applying for a loan. Make sure you have your current address and previous address if you’ve moved in the last two years. Make sure that you know your social security number for the application. Always have the complete information for your current employer and for your previous employer if you’ve changed jobs in the last two years. Have complete addresses and phone numbers for your employer(s).
2. Accurate income information is also a big help in securing a car loan. If possible, bring a copy of your most recent check stub with you to the dealership. This will make it easy for the finance department to correctly provide your income to the lenders.
3. Payoff information for you existing loan is also a big help when you apply for your new loan. If you bring the name of the lender and a copy of your most recent statement with you to the dealership, this will speed up the application process. If you have an existing loan and plan to pay it off by trading in your current vehicle the dealership will need to know this when they submit your loan application.
4. Review your personal credit history before you go to the dealership. You can do this by requesting a copy of your credit report from one of the three main credit bureaus. Our site has a link to one of the free credit report providers on it: http://www.everycarlisted.com/searchresults.php?zip=02108&radius=30&search=&page=1&radius=100&page=0. Click this link and look for the free report offer on the right hand side of the page. Once you have your report make sure that all the information on it is correct before you head to the dealership.
5. Plan on putting some money down for your new vehicle. Putting between 10% and 20% down on the vehicle purchase will improve the loan programs that you will qualify for. This means that the interest rate and term of the loan will be more favorable to you, not to mention the fact that it will lower your monthly payments.
6. Find the car you want before you apply for a loan. You can browse almost all of the used car inventory and much of the new car inventory online these days. Sites like ours www.everycarlisted.com list vehicles for sale by dealers and by individuals online, and the listings are current to the previous day’s sales. Having the car picked out when you apply allows the lender to see the type of collateral that they will be making the loan for. Collateral quality affects the terms of the loan just as much as the other things mentionedhere.
Remember that tight credit markets don’t mean you can’t get a fantastic deal on a new or used vehicle right now! The dealers are anxious to earn your business in these times and so there are some great deals to be had. Car dealers have access in most cases to hundreds of lenders that want to lend you money for your vehicle purchase. Use the dealer who has great connections that you can take advantage of. You can find most of the inventory for franchised and independent dealers on our site at www.everycarlisted.com. Find the car you want and make a deal!!
